Social Accountability at Hansen

Hansen dedicates itself to a social, economic and ecologic lasting development and aims at being a qualitative high standing employer.

Our wish to be a social sound company in the worldwide context has been translated at the end of 2008 into a SA8000 certification, this at first for our plant in Lommel.

This social standard concerns the respect of the rights of the employees and the guarantee of human, safe and healthy working conditions throughout the chain.

Hansen subscribes and commits itself voluntarily to the requirements of the SA8000 standard and to all applicable legislation, inclusively the engagement to continuous improvement regarding all aspects of our social policy.

Herewith, Hansen shall respect the principles of the following international instruments.

SA8000 is further based on the national legislation, when this legislation is more stringent than the international standards. Hansen Transmissions underwrites and shall keep to the applicable Belgian Law, industry standards and agreed collective working agreements.

The Hansen executive management committee, designed and subscribed a policy statement that serves as the basis for the further application and roll out of the Hansen social policy, which uses SA 8000 as its standard.
